Theme of the Summit: Where Politics and Science meet â€œPhysics towards science innovationsâ€
March 24-26, 2010, Tsukuba (Japan)
The first Asia- Europe Physics Summit will be held on 24 â€“ 26 March 2010 in Tsukuba, Japan. The President of the Academy and the Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University Prof. Dr. M. Shamsher Ali will represent the Academy in the summit. Scientists and academicians in Physics discipline, research organization leaders, government officials, industry leaders from all countries from Europe, East Europe, Russia and from Asia-Pacific are invited to the ASEPS
Goals of the Summit
- To discuss the scientific priorities and possible shared contributions to large scale infrastructures or networks in an Asia-Europe cooperation framework
- To setup a dedicated sustainable structure (see last item) that would help boosting the level of the Euro-Asia collaborations in Physics for the next 15-20 years.
- To favor the developing countries involvement in research so as to bridge the knowledge/digital gap (participation to international projects and support to domestic infrastructures).
