“The Leadership Programme & Network for Young Physicians”
The Interacademy Medical Panel (IAMP) is seeking candidates to participate in the 2012 edition of the Young Physician Leaders Programme held annually in Berlin, Germany.
The programme is articulated in two parts:
· 19 October 2012 A specific leadership development programme with a focus on analysing models of leadership with the aim of developing an individual action plan for personal leadership growth, following the workshop.
· 21 – 23 October 2012 Participation as special guest at the World Health Summit (www.worldhealthsummit.org)
The aim of the programme is to foster a new generation of leaders in global health and we especially encourage the nomination of women.
Candidates should be under 40 years of age with demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in clinical medicine, medical education, public health or health policy.
We are looking for individuals who show great promise for leadership in their chosen careers and in their fields in the future.
They should be enthusiastic, with outstanding communication skills and the ability, desire and personality to represent the medical profession well when interacting with the outstanding professionals from multiple sectors who will be attending the Summit.
Selection will be carried out by a scientific committee chaired by the IAMP Co-Chairs, consisting of an international panel of medical and scientific professionals.
Nominations will be accepted from national academies that are IAMP members, IAP member and other designated institutions.
Deadline for sending nominations is Friday 30 June 2012. Successful candidates will be informed in early August.
