SEEKING NOMINATIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN Training Workshop
on Developing Talents of Women in Science, Technology and Innovation
3-6 August 2015, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Greetings from the International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation under the auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC).
With reference to the above subject, I have the honour to inform you that ISTIC, NAM Institute for the Empowerment of Women, Malaysia (NIEW), Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (MoWFCD) and Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) will be organising the Training Workshop on Developing Talents of Women in Science, Technology and Innovation which will be held on 3-6 August 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The training workshop has the following objectives:
- To engage participants on developing their own strength talents;
- To enhance participants’ knowledge, skills and attitudes regarding the environment of the workplace; and
- To enhance participant’s self belief in their talents.
The workshop is organised in view of the need to develop the capacities of female scientists and technologists and equip them with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes that can promote them to be in positions of influence within the organisations. This is vital particularly for those who have the qualifications, talents and potential to become leaders and later be members of the boardroom.
In this regard and on behalf the organiser, I would like to invite you to nominate suitable candidates from your organisation/country to participate in the course. Application Form, Course Notification and Course Overview documents can be downloaded at www.istic-unesco.org. Online application is encouraged to expedite the selection process that can be accessed via Application Online. All applications whether online or otherwise should reach ISTIC not later than 3 July 2015 (Friday). The organisers will provide food, accommodation and airport transfer for successful applicants. However, applicants will have to bear their travel expenses from their respective countries to Malaysia and back.
Should you need further enquiries, do not hesitate to contact Mr. Mohd Irza Pairuz Zamri at email@example.com.
