Professor Dr Mirjana Radović-Marković was born in Belgrade, Serbia.
She gained complete expert education from the Faculty of Economics, Belgrade University. She was elected to the position of full professor and principal research fellow in a number of universities world-wide. After her dissertation completing, she continued her advanced studies in the Netherlands, USA and Russia, where she specialized at Lomonosow on the multidisciplinary studies department. She has been elected as a full-time professor at a number of faculties and universities in the country, such as the University of Kragujevac, the University Economic Academy, Union University and the High School of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship, Belgrade, Serbia. In parallel, she performs teaching activities at foreign universities where she sets up a lot of programmes and became their director (Akamai University, United States of America) and then got an appointment as a lecturer (adjunct professor) at Farleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, United States of America where worked on a program Global Challenge. In addition, she became a full professor at the American School of Genealogy, Heraldry & Documentary Sciences, Como, Mississippi, United States of America. Since 2012, she has been permanently engaged as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of St. Kliment Ohridski in Sofia - Bulgaria, where she teaches master's and doctoral studies in the study program Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In early 2014, she was elected as an honorary professor in the field of management and business administration at the state IIC University of Technology with headquarters in Cambodia and representative offices in Malaysia and Great Britain. At the South Ural State University (South Ural State University) from Russia, she was elected full professor and scientific advisor in 2017. Since 2019, she has been teaching at the Faculty of Humanities for master's and doctoral studies, University of Donja Gorica, Podgorica, Montenegro. By invitation, she visited Hunan Normal University in China in August 2023, where she delivered several lectures. After her first stay in China, she received an invitation to participate every year as a part-time professor and scientist for one semester. She is the first professor from Serbia to receive such an appointment. On the mentioned and other universities, her books and scientific works are used as basic or supplementary literature.
Professor Radović-Marković has long-term cooperation with scientists from Bangladesh. Her collaboration has so far been highly fruitful and manifold with Bangladesh colleagues and institutions as follow:
i. Participation in the realization of jointly issued scientific publications – this resulted in many articles, collections and proceedings of papers and other scientific works.
ii. Mentoring in the writing of scientific papers by colleagues from Bangladesh and preparation for their publication in journals where Prof. Radović-Marković is the editor-in-chief.
iii. Reviewing the papers written by colleagues from Bangladesh because their potential publish ability in high-ranking journals.
iv. She is also a member of for acquiring teaching titles in Bangladesh.
iv. Establishing partnership relations in organizing scientific conferences in Serbia.
iv. Sharing and exchange of professional literature
v. This international collaboration and networking of scientific and educational institutions between the two friendly, countries have largely enhanced the emergence of new knowledge, the opportunities for achieving relevant results and their purposeful implementation. Similarly, it is evident that varied forms of collaboration enable the achievement of effects and results of research one party cannot otherwise achieve on its own. Thus, a unique platform is founded for providing solutions to many economic and social problems common to both of these countries, problems that seek solutions. In addition to sharing scientific achievements, the development of personnel potentials of both countries and their improvement at specialist, master and doctoral studies offer important opportunities for scientists and university lecturers to conduct their projects across state boundaries.
Having in mind the results achieved so far, an excellent basis has been formed for further networking and expansion of this collaboration.
vi. Based on scientific foundations, her efforts will remain focused on expanding the network of institutions that will further strengthen this collaboration. Besides, maintaining the interdisciplinary approach and connecting the researchers from both countries and from different scientific areas – economics, psychology, sociology, agriculture, gender, and others – can help achieve one of the most important goals, namely, observing numerous scientific phenomena from several different perspectives.
Her Interdisciplinary research involves different disciplines working together to integrate their knowledges and methods to meet shared research goals and achieve a real synthesis of approaches. Global challenges asking for multidisciplinary research linked to climate change, environmental protection, poverty and changing status of women after COVID 19, new way of working and digitalization of education. In addition, interdisciplinary research requires some insight into the current problem or at least an understanding of it in its totality, for which it is important to understand the multi-faceted concepts of the problem. Collaboration between disciplines, and researchers could help better achieve sustainable solutions.
She also does cross-disciplinary research on gender-explorations across identity, gender, inequality, and culture.
Professor Dr Radović-Marković is the author of 297 scientific works (20 papers on the SCI WOS, 38 articles on SCOPUS, 5 textbooks, 25 monographs – 15 in English published by Routledge, Springer, Palgrave Macmillan, Francis Taylor, Sage, Gower Publishing Limited, EMERALD. The best cited economist in Serbia according to AD Scientific Index 2024 - Hirsch index 26. Available at the link Mirjana Radovic Markovic - AD Scientific Index 2024 . Her works have been cited in 104 countries.
Her most famous books are "Entrepreneurship and Work in Gig Economy" (2021), "Globalization and Entrepreneurship in Small Countries", (2019), then "Qualitative methods in economics", (2017), as well as the book "Women and entrepreneurship: female durability, persistence and intuition at work" (2013). The last one in the mentioned series was a bestseller in America in August 2014. (in 87% of the papers or books she is the sole or first author).
She founded three scientific journals - Journal of Women's Entrepreneurship and Education (Founder and Editor-in-Chief) (SCOPUS Elsevier Q3), International Review (founder and editor-in-chief) ( WOS SCI , Q3) and Entrepreneurship and Business Resilience (founder and editor-in-chief) (ERICH Plus).
Professor Dr Radović-Marković established the Center for Scientific Research in 2012, which is of a multidisciplinary character at the High School of Academic Studies for Business Economics and Entrepreneurship in Belgrade. Within the aforementioned Center, where she is the director, she launched the international scientific conference Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship (EEE), where she has been the President of the Scientific Committee since its founding to date ( 12 years ).
Professor Dr Radović-Marković is a holder of 22 awards for scientific and pedagogical work, among which the following stand out:
➢ The first award for the best scientific paper in 2017, EMERALD LITERALI AWARDS 2018, which selects and rewards the world famous publishing house EMERALD from Great Britain, July 2018
➢ Two annual awards "Tomislav Popović" for outstanding scientific contribution of the Institute of Economic Sciences in Belgrade for 2017 and 2021 years.
➢ Annual award for contribution to program development and improvement of Union University for 2019, Belgrade,Banking Academy - Faculty of Banking, Finance and Insurance, Belgrade.
➢ Annual award "Captain Miša Anastasijević" for outstanding scientific contribution and promotion of entrepreneurship upon proposal Belgrade Banking Academy - Faculty of Banking, Finance and Insurance, Belgrade, 2018.
➢ Winner of the annual award for international excellence in the field of education, which is awarded to the most successful women to educators, EXCELLENCE WOMAN AWARD 2016. Colombo, Sri Lanka, April 2016.
➢Gold Medal PUPIN COIL for outstanding contribution in science, 16 October 2015

She was awarded an honorary doctorate (Honoris Causa) - the contribution to the development of entrepreneurship and multidisciplinary studies, the British - American University of Africa, Porto Novo, Benin, April 2016. (They moved seat later to Florida). The latest one is Honoris Causa in Economics , October 2023.
