Expressions of interest to serve on IAP Standing Committees and Working Group for IAP/UKAMS project

With the conclusion of the IAP General Assembly in November, and the instigation of the new leadership, we are contacting you with reference to the renewal of the following IAP Standing Committees:

•  IAP Membership Committee

•  IAP Statements Committee

•  IAP Strategic Plan Working Group

In addition, IAP is calling for experts to serve on a newly formed working group with the running title ‘UK      Academy of Medical Sciences /IAP project on Clinical capacity building, especially in LMICs' (*see below).

As per the  IAP Statutes (please see: https://www.interacademies.org/sites/default/files/inline-files/IAP%20Statutes_endorsed%20by%20member%20academies_August%202021.pdf), each committee/working group will comprise representatives from different regions, different expertise, high-, middle- and low-income countries, and be balanced for gender and other parameters.

To assemble these committees/working groups, IAP is inviting expressions of interest to serve on the above bodies from members of the IAP Board, Advisory Committee and the Programmatic and Development Committees.

Please be informed that most of the work of the committees/working groups will be carried out electronically, although the UKAMS/IAP project may involve participation in in-person workshops (expenses to be covered by project funds). The committees and working groups will operate with support from the IAP Secretariats based in Trieste and DC.

Should you like to volunteer for one or more committees/working groups (please note more than one preference can be indicated), please complete this ONLINE FORM with your details *by Monday 9   January 2023*.

Thank you and look forward to receiving many submissions.
